The peninsula is near to one of the most important strings of corals with 7000 km2, it makes of its living sea flora and fauna, sunk ships and submarine caves, the main attractive of this sea sport. Cayo Piedras del Norte Sea Park .The only park of its kind in Cuba, and suited both for snorkling and diving, it is located some 8 nautical miles northeast of Varadero and extends over an area of 2 square nautical miles.

The dolphin sea-quarium is located on kilometre 11 of Autopista Sur (the highway connecting Matanzas city with Varadero). It belong to the Rumbos Tourism and recreation Group.

With a design that meets the highest international standards, the Varadero Golf Club has presently the only professional, 18-hole par golf course in Cuba.
